A Mia Update

My plan to write 5k a day has… not happened. But I’m getting into a groove now and am about to hit my first 1k mark. I had to stop, though, because I looked over to the couch when I heard snoring, and it was too cute not to share. This is my Mia.

She still has about six staples in, but she’s healing well and is more active than she’s been in years. She’s still baldy on her back, but she’s good, and she’s here, and she’s almost completely recovered. One more vet visit and she’s done for four months. And today she is snoring in the cutest damn way.

Blair, on the other hand, had to go in today because he’s so congested he can’t breathe. The problem? HERPES. Blair has herpes. No shit. They present in the face in cats, and he gets allergy-like symptoms when he’s stressed, and this time he developed a secondary infection. So he gets weird liver powder in his food, and he gets antibiotic for eight days. (Yes. We have to give a pill to Blair. Yes. It is fucking hell.)

Now I’m going back to work. But that’s the kitty update. I wish you could hear her snore.
